Application
Rates:
For all home garden, turf and lawn uses:
Apply WEEDOL in the spring before crabgrass and broadleaf
weeds emerge and again in the late summer. Apply with a drop
spreader, broadcast spreader or by hand. use 1000 kgs per
HA.. Water deeply after application, then allow soil to dry
before watering again. On perennial beds WEEDOL may be spread
using
the same application rate.
For
new lawns:
Apply WEEDOL after the first mowing. Do not use WEEDOL on
recently sown grass, since
it will also affect lawn seed germination. Apply WEEDOL again
in late summer for additional weed protection and fertilizing
effect.
One appliaction leaves the weedicide active for 6 weeks ,but
due to distruction of all germinating weed seeds in the area
there is good weed control for an year.
WEEDOL powder on seeds not established plants.
Plants tested to date for susceptibility-23 and include: bamyard
grass,curly dock,smath crab grass,black nightshade,orchard
grass,shattercane,purslane,wooly cupgrass,velvetleaf,annual
bluegrass,dandelions,creeping bentgrass,black medic,redroot
pigweed,catchweed bedstraw and other common garden weeds.
WEEDOL lasts 5-6 weeks . there is no carryover .After this
time seeds can be planted in treated areas without being effected.
TIMING
IS CRITICAL :
Apply in early spring , 3-5 weeks before weeds sprout and
in early winter when tempratures turn cooler. Apply in gardens
any time.
Spread around bedding plants,transplant,flowers or shrubs
and rake it lightly.
Water it if there is no rain.then allow to dry for 2-3 days
. Plants need dryness for WEEDOL to effectively kill emerging
weeds.If excessive rain occurs,reapplication may be needed.
